S! Swordfish, All!

No problem, I understand completely. Especially the part about being old and creaky ;) Good to see pilots come and train for Speed Cup. See you on the tarmac.

October 9 looks OK in my calendar.
My major problem for the moment is to find enough time to practice.
Real life is busy, and I have not yet been able to complete a full circuit without crashing or getting killed by AA ... :?

S! AirSurfer,

What exactly do you mean by "Touch & Go" in the rules posted at the JGS4 forum? :?:

Hi SwordFish/All!

Sorry if I have not been clear...with touch and go I means an aerobatic maneuver,
consisting of a touch with the wheels on the runway and resume the flight.

You can slow down as if you were in a normal landing, and when you touch the ground,
throttle up and go ... doing it more or less faster...

It is a maneuver in wich you can win a lot of time, assuming more risk ...
but it is very easy to end up eating the ground and out of the race ... :deadman2:

It is also important to choose the airfield area in which to "touch", according to the next waypoint, AA location, etc ...
as in other race's waypoints...a hard climbing is needed for the next wp after the T&G ...and some angry AA are waiting... :mad2:

I prefer to operate beer planes at strategic points for pilots to rehydrate= drink more to stay alert for Speed Cup Race. A spill-proof cup holder will be installed in all planes. Pilot preference of course; lager, pilsner, stout, porter, etc.

Tonight, for the first time I was able to run the complete course! :biggrin2:

It took me 35 min 6 sec, I have no idea if that is good or bad ... :?

But at least i managed to stay alive!

Tonight I made the circuit in 34 min 0 sec! :biggrin2:

By the way, when I fly to the 'f' bridge the second time, i.e. when I go d-f-d, must I then go under the 'f' bridge twice or just once?

Edit:
New personal best is 33:32! :D

But after flying some practice runs with Scars and NonoNano tonight, I realize that I must optimize and finetune my flight path ...

Best regards
