The 24th is Easter Sunday. Not a good idea to fly on this date. :!:

My guess is Fogel doesn't want to have to choose between RB and dominating
the field at the easter egg hunt.
How about if in honor of Easter we all wait 3 minutes everytime we relife?

On a serious note Fogel is correct that there may be problems getting a good
turnout on such a traditionally strong family holiday here in the US.
Those with children or grandchildren will most likely have activities planned
with the kids on Easter Sunday. Afterall everybody knows that the way to
celebrate your "savior's" death and rise from the dead three days later is to
boil and paint eggs in colorfull patterns and eat chocolates in the shape of rabbits.

I suspected it might be something like that.
I selected Sunday for two reasons; (i) In Sweden most of the Easter celebrations take place on Easter Saturday, and (ii) I live in Sweden ... ;)

But since most RB3D/FC pilots live outside Sweden, I can move the upcoming Fun Day to Sat 23 April if the majority of pilots prefer that (I don't know about the Spanish Easter traditions). I may not be able to fly on any of those dates, so it's not a big deal for me personally.
Flybert's comment in the sign-up thread indicates that he agrees with you and Fogel on this matter.

Salute!

I just noticed that JGS4_AirSurfer has signed up six pilots from JGS4 for the Fun Day match on Sunday, so Easter Sunday does not seem to be a problem in Spain.

If I reschedule the match to Saturday there is a risk that the guys from Spain don't not show up (due to language problems they don't show up very often in this forum), but if we stick to Sunday we may have a poor turnout from North America. I think I'll stick to the announced date, it's just a Fun Day and we do have 3 players from North America signed up already. It's impossible to set a schedule that pleases all. :?

The tournament schedule (see the updated post!!) will switch between Saturdays and Sundays just like in RBWar.
