and proposed rules that I think might address some concerns about the recent rbwar matches:
RBWar - Capture the Flag format
Each side will have two aerodromes: one home aerodrome (that pilots are based at) and one target aerodrome (that pilots must defend).
Rules
1) No capping the enemy home aerodrome; no engaging the enemy at their home aerodrome; no bombing, straffing or attacking the enemy home aerodrome; any engagements of enemy planes must be out of L key range of the enemy home aerodrome.
2) Bombers will be a lesser plane model than the fighter model (IE: if allied fighter is N11, then the allied bomber will be the Bullet)
3) Fighters can only use regular machinegun ammo (no incendiaries or tracers) against enemy fighters and bombers; fighters can not use bombs or rockets at any time and can not attack or strafe the enemy home aerodrome (see rule # 1) or the enemy target aerodrome (hangars, buildings, aa, etc.).
4) Bombers can use any ammo/weapons at any time, any place (except at the enemy home aerodrome - see rule # 1).
5) Pilots may only exit the game from their home aerodrome (from stopped position on runway) or after being killed; pilots may switch planes from their home aerodrome (from stopped position on runway) or after being killed; pilots may exit the game in the last minute of the game.
6) Enemy target aerodrome is worth 200 points (no points if the aerodrome goes hard); enemy plane kills are worth 5 points; pilot deaths (killed and aa/mech deaths) are -5 points (minus five points).
7) If the enemy target aerodrome is destroyed or goes hard, the game continues until the end of game time.
8) Game will run for 3 hours, starting at 1PM EST and ending at 4PM EST.
