S! all, we'll get a war started soon. Should we start off with a short war or long war?

I suggest we start off with a short war to get things going and hopefully create some interest in this.
A short war requires less administration and preparations, and it will give useful feedback on the format that can be addressed in later and perhaps longer wars.

S! all, when do y'all want to start the RBWar?

I was thinking we could start it on either Saturday, February 20, 2010 or on Sunday, February 21, 2010, about 3pm est which would make it about 9 pm Euro time so our European brothers can participate too. Maybe run the war for four weekends on either Saturdays or Sundays (not both days).

Your opinions?

Personally, I think I would prefer a schedule alternating between Sat and Sun at 3pm EST.

On the other hand, the Redux project run their Fun Days on Sundays at 3pm EST, so RBWar might attract more pilots if it is run on Saturdays. No point in double-booking events if it can be avoided.

S! all, Willi, it's NFM (regular install of RB3D), no patches are needed, just the custom maps. Actuallly, you can fly in RBWar without the custom maps, but you would have a rough time figuring out what targets and aerodrome was available without the custom maps.

Thank you. I will D/L the custom maps.....I can't bomb unless I know where the targets are:) Will there be a practice server available? I like to familiarize myself with the maps.
